The Knockouts

The Knockouts is South Bedfordshire's premier instrumental garage punk  band.​

 

When Thrilled Skinny checked out to the big Peel Session in the sky in the early 1990s, members Andy Weizen (strings), J Hackson (keys) and Elliot Smoke (drums) got together with erstwhile T Skinny badge man Tim Fitzagre (percussion and face) and recorded a first demonstration cassette, Anthony in the UK. They then took some pictures, thought about Clod Magazine for a bit, then took seven years off.

Fast forward to this millenium and a storming return, which has seen The Knockouts garner huge criticism and crowds of dozens. Several albums have been recorded and gigs played. The Knockouts are now a quintet; now including Bedfordshire indie stalwart Jeff Henderson. They are decrepit men who make a little go a long way and are occasionally amused and accept invitations to play gigs and all that.
